Well just when you thought you were loving Noah Foster, he went and did what he did at the end of part one. But after a moment to explain, Alexa sees the truth to his words. Too bad Becks shows up forcing Noah’s jealousy to appear. Now not only do these two have to battle his fear of going out into the world but Beck seems to want more from Alexia.

Just as Noah and Alexia find their footing the rug is pulled out from underneath them as his past makes an appearance.

I feel like the author really wants us to hate Noah Foster. With everything he does that paints him in a good light, there are a handful of incidents that make you question him. But this is where my love of the @hole heroes works for me. I still loved him. And believe me, there was reason to hate him.

Where book one gave us a lot of erotic moments, part two fed us a bit of the story and left us wanting more. There is more to Noah Foster than what we’ve seen so far. We did get another cliffhanger ending, but luckily part three is already out.

Oh my gosh. Deborah has done it again. I wanted to jump Into my reader again and strangle this man. I knew there surely would be a cliff hanger but I just didn't see this one until it hit me. I cried. Oh yes I did. I wanted to hug and ask Alexa, well what did you expect. Noah need to get over himself. Why would he give his ex the time of day. She messed him over. Geez. Alexa needs to move on. Twice this has happened to her. Neither deserve her. But I have no doubt Deborah will wiggle one back into her life. She very good at what she does. Kaboom. I just didn't see this coming. I love the series. Great job
This story continues from book one...Alexa struggles to pull her life back together after her 'betrayal' from Brighton. She finds herself falling hard for Noah, she craves him & the feelings she has for him, he is a recluse that has his own issues accepting the scar he has. The men, both artists, she discovers are friends...now what? She is so conflicted, she has people warning her at every turn that Noah cannot commit to her, because of his former love. Plans made for a giant leap of faith, a weekend away go awry.......the door opens & Alexa's worst dream has come true.
Recommended reading. Awaiting the next story...
I will say that I was truly impressed with this story. Usually novella can grab my interest but not a 5 star interest like this one did. One thing I will say is.... I'm glad I waited for all the books to be released before venturing into this story. After reading this book I had to know what will happen next. I actually fell in love with Alexa and Noah. Alexa had a knack of attracting some arrogant-ass men, Noah included. You will think Noah is weird, arrogant, alpha-male, nudist, sexy, and flawed. And you will be right on all counts! A recluse meets a sexy independent woman. I will recommend this series. It is worth it.
Okay, so you know when you are watching a scary movie and you find yourself shouting at the dumb girl in the film not to open the door or not to go back in to the room 'cause she's gonna get hurt? Well, that's the way I felt when I read this book! Alexa is just so naive when it comes to Noah, that it kills me! As I was reading, I was shouting at her not to buy into Noah's B.S. Seeing that she looked just like most of his models should have been her clue. Once she discovers that she and his ex (that he's still hung up on) look like twins...that put me over the edge. Now wonder she's "perfection". He may be sexy and say the right things sometimes, but Noah smells like a rat and acts like a dog!
This first Vain was really well written and had me helplessly waiting for Vain 2. As good as the first one was, this book gutted me emotionally. The last part of the book was a twist I never saw coming. Thank God Vain 3 is the last book and I only had to wait less than 2 weeks. I read about 25-30 books a month and by far this is one of my top 10 favorites. The writing is complicated in the best possible way and the feelings that it evoked in me, were so true to life that I absolutely cannot wait to resolve what I've feeling since I read this book!!
I really wish wouldn't censor these reviews because I have some really choice vulgar words that I would like to use describe Noah's actions in this installment! He's the worst kind of man there is, not only is he selfish, egotistical, cold, narcissistic and yeah... VAIN he's an a--h--e!!! I was so hurt and mad for Alexa I started to cry ya...cry. I was hurting for her. I won't spoil this cliffhanger ending but OMG I would go absolutely OUT OF MY MIND and I'd reach for the nearest sharp object and give him and Camilla (yeah his psycho ex is there) matching scars that spelled out my name! I'd happily go to prison knowing they'd NEVER forget me! Can y'all tell I'm mad as hornet! 😤😠.
OMG I'm still MAD about this turn of events. So I guess you can tell the story is written super good if a sweet woman like me wants to cause major skin damage to these characters. Alexa better get her day, and Noah better watch his back! I wish I could crawl into the story and stab him in the kidney! 😝
It's sooooo good a gazillion stars! If I didn't have so many other books to read to get my. ind off of this one I'd end up in a psych ward...all I can say my husband better watch his step this weekend! LOL
To say this is how you keep us wanting more is such an understatement. This book is exactly what you envision when you are reading a continuation in a series. It was more in depth, insightful and so well developed and written. As always when I read Deborah's books my stomach is always clenching because you can and will expect a OMFG cliff-hanger, that's the reason its a serial book! Am such a huge fan of Deborah because she doesn't sell us short. I read a lot and the biggest difference with her serials as opposed to many is the quality with which she writes and I value that a lot. An in the end we are left so completely satisfied that you cannot wait to continue on your reading journey. Bravo once again for another brilliant series ! Now bring on Vain -Part Three
